Dwelling on Tuesdays
10am in the living room

Dwelling in Scripture is a simple way to read (and listen) to the Bible. This practice of listening and sharing nurtures faith and community.

Come and join Pastor Beth and others as we read and discuss the Scripture for the coming Sunday.

We will have time to listen to each other and get to know each other. Coffee and treats will be found too. Each month we venture to a new breakfast spot to carry this dwelling into the world.

Come give it a try. You are welcome each week or as your schedule permits.

Parent Connect

While your student attends Faith Explorers or Confirmation programming on Wednesday night, come connect in community with other parents. This time for conversation, fun and support is facilitated by Nancy Johnson and Alana Erickson. To sign up, email faithformation@moply.org.

During the programming year, Parent Connect meets in the Lower Level Room 140 on Wednesday nights from 7-7:45pm.

What is motalk?

The Reconciling in Christ (RIC) process is a public way to see, name, celebrate, and advocate for people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions along with other ELCA churches in the country.

Come hear from Wally Palm, leader of MO’s RIC Team, for an update on how the team will engage our congregation in the coming months toward the creation of a new welcome statement that is specific about LGBTQIA+ inclusivity.

Voice of Community Conversation Circles
September 22 at 10am

In the flurry of too much, Mount Olivet is creating space to listen and to speak as a church -- to hear another's story and to share our own. We trust that what is shared will shape the future for Mount Olivet, and most importantly, offer the rarest gift, the gift of being heard.

Come be a part of small group circles where you listen to other community members.

Voice of Community - A Bible Study
October 13 - November 3

Come to connect and learn stories of community from the New Testament led by Dr. Ron Troxel. Ron is a retired Pastor and Professor of Religion and Semitic Studies from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and has found a place at Mount Olivet with his wife Jacki.

Over four weeks, Ron will dwell and teach from stories of the early church, as we all discover the joys and the challenges of forming Christian community.
