History of Brews, Eats & Beats

AN OUTDOOR MUSIC FEST

In 2011, volunteer organizers wanted to take advantage of the great outdoor space at Mount Olivet. They put together a plan for a community-wide event featuring outstanding music, local craft breweries, and BBQ. Encouraged by a successful first year, organizers began planning an annual event. Brews, Eats & Beats (formerly Blues, Brews n BBQs) has grown into an annual summer staple here in Plymouth. Through the years, profits from the music fest have supported our community partners PRISM, EveryMeal, Loaves & Fishes, and Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity. Now our focus is bringing community together for a great cause: raising money to fight hunger right here in Plymouth through our Loaves & Fishes Community Meal.

A BENEFIT FOR PARTNERS

Since the beginning, Brews, Eats & Beats has always been a benefit for our community partners such as PRISM and Loaves & Fishes. In total over the years, Brews, Eats & Beats has drawn in thousands of socially conscious, music, beer, and food enthusiasts. Thanks to the positive community response, the event has been able to distribute $220,000 to these partners.

BUILDING COMMUNITY

Brews, Eats & Beats brings people and organizations together each year, with regular appearances from the Plymouth Fire Department with their fire engine and crew, exciting bands, volunteers and staff from partner organizations joining us, and numerous in-kind and financial donations from local businesses. We are always looking for community sponsors, donations, and volunteers.

VOLUNTEER DRIVEN

Each year, Brews, Eats & Beats is organized by a team of volunteers from Mount Olivet who lead everything from logistics and sponsors to food and vendors. As event day approaches, 75+ volunteers from the Mount Olivet community come out to set up the grounds, serve food and drinks, sell tickets, clean up, and more.
