Ramadan Iftar at Northwest Islamic Community Center
Wednesday, June 6 // 7:30pm // NWICC // Register here by Sunday, June 3
In our efforts to encounter and celebrate diversity in our community, Mount Olivet has formed a relationship with the NWICC. These Muslim neighbors of ours have invited
Christians to break the Ramadan fast with them on June 6. Ramadan is a holy month,
marked by prayer, fasting, and giving. Each evening in Ramadan, Muslims gather together
to break their fast with a feast called Iftar. On June 6, we will meet at 7:30pm at NWICC, hear a presentation on Ramadan, observe their evening prayer, and share in a delicious
feast together. ALSO, Pastor Joel will be holding a reflection sessions during MOtalk time
on Sunday, June 10 for those who attend the Iftar. This is a free and family-friendly event—
all ages are welcome, and you do not need to be a MO member to attend. Come join us as we receive hospitality from our Muslim neighbors and celebrate with them!
