Cate Anderson, Volunteer Coordinator for Refugee Services at Lutheran Social Services will share impactful stories about refugee resettlement in the Twin Cities, including the resettlement of a local family supported by the partnerships between Mount Olivet, Trinity Lutheran Congregation, Nokomis Heights Lutheran Church, and St. Pedar's Lutheran Church.

Just under 2,400 refugees resettled in MN in 2016.

In 2015, there were an estimated 19.5 million refugees worldwide, displaced from their homelands for fear of persecution due to race, religion, nationality, social or political affiliation. The United States resettles 1/2 of 1% of the world's refugees.
