MEN’S ADVENT BREAKFAST: Christmas Presents & God’s Presence

Why do we give gifts at Christmas? Is it a spiritually-enriching practice for Christians, or an outgrowth of empty materialism? Where does God show up amidst the wrapping paper and ribbons? We’ll be talking with folks from Parenting With Purpose, one of Mount Olivet’s community partners and a recipient of our Holiday Sharing ministry, about the impact of gift giving and about the relationships between mentors and youth (gifts in themselves). Together, we’ll reflect on how giving gifts is an act of trust and hope, both in God and in the people we give to. Be sure to invite friends and neighbors, and register here.
