Every night in Minnesota, families go homeless while church buildings sit empty. Families Moving Forward, a ministry of Beacon Interfaith Housing Collaborative, uses churches to shelter families searching for permanent housing, and Mount Olivet’s turn to host is coming up at the end of the month. Volunteers are needed: to cook for and provide hospitality to the families in the evenings, to stay overnight at church, to set up and take down the rooms the families will stay in, and to be on call for laundry needs.
