VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO HELP LAY STONES FOR MOUNT OLIVET’S LABYRINTH
Sunday, October 28 // 3-6pm // MO back yard
Mount Olivet is constructing a labyrinth on our property in order to offer a space for our faith community and the community-at-large to use for contemplation, prayer, and meditation. A labyrinth is an ancient symbol that relates to wholeness. Specifically, a labyrinth is a patterned path, often circular in form, used as a walking meditation or spiritual practice. A labyrinth's walkway is arranged in such a way that the participant moves back and forth across the circular form through a series of curves, representing a journey to our own center and back again out into the world. Kurt Leuthold leads the construction of MO’s labyrinth and is looking for a crew (families, small groups, neighbors, etc.) to help lay stones on October 28.
